The Brow Lift procedure lifts the brows eliminating the “tired” and “droopy” look that occurs with age. The endoscopic brow lift rejuvenates the entire upper forehead and face and has become one of the most desirable procedures today in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Endoscopic
brow lifts are performed under local anesthesia with IV sedation in our
outpatient ambulatory surgery center. Patients over age
60 and/or those with a current medical condition (s) are required to have a
preoperative physical examination, blood work, and EKG performed by their
primary physician before surgery for anesthesia safety. During the
endoscopic brow lift, your physician will make three small incisions
(approximately one inch) in the hairline. Excess skin, fat and portions of
the muscle are removed through the incisions, which are then closed with
sutures.
This procedure is
frequently combined with other facial procedures
such as eyelid surgery,
chemical peels or facial laser resurfacing.
