How Candela VBeam Pulsed Laser Works
The Candela VBeam Pulsed Laser sprays a cold spray prior to the laser pulsing. This helps the laser to sting less, protects the skin, and makes treatment more tolerable. The laser moves across the skin, operated by a technician, heating the skin and facilitating gentle, effective treatment.
Does it hurt?
While some discomfort and stinging is standard, typically treatment shouldn’t be painful. If you are extremely sensitive to the sting of the laser your technician will apply a numbing cream to help ease the discomfort. You can expect to have a numb face for about two hours after treatment.
What are the side effects?
Directly follow treatment, you’ll probably look a bit red if you had he procedure done on or near your face. You may also experienced minor swelling. Welts and smalls mosquito bite-like hots my occur. These side effects shouldn’t last more than 36 hours.
What does aftercare look like?
Immediately following the procedure, we apply a CeraVe or cortisone cream to calm the skin down. You will also be asked to utilize a cold water compress for 2 hours after treatment.
You can expect to fully recover within 4 days, and can resume normal activities day-of (with makeup to cover the redness).

Candela VBeam Pulsed Laser is consistently reported to yield positive results. In a clinic study, 95% of patients treated with VBeam Prima 595 nm were satisfied with results.
