vbeamCandela VBeam pulsed dye laser is used to safely and effectively treat many vascular skin conditions. Here at Allure we strive to use the best tool for the job, the FDA approved the VBeam more than 45 years ago. Since that time it has become the world’s gold standard for treating vascular lesions including those listed here:

  • Rosacea (red blushing and fine vessels)
  • Angiomas (red moles or starburst spots on the skin) Facial veins
  • Port wine stains
  • Fine red leg veins
  • Scars (newly formed, still red or pink)
  • Stretch marks (newly formed, still red or pink)
  • Periorbital wrinkles (around the eye)
  • Dark under-eye circles
  • Small capillary veins around legs

You will experience similar preparation like you would with IPL. The VBeam laser sprays a cryogen (cold) spray right before the laser pulses which helps make the sting of the laser more tolerable. We can applynumbing cream for the patients that are highly sensitive. The downside is a numb face for about two (2) hours. After treatment, similar with the IPL, you will look more wind-burned (red) and can have minor swelling and sometimes small welts from the smaller lens which look like mosquito bites. These fade in 24-36 hours. We then apply CeraVe/cortisone cream which helps calm the skin. The post care will involve cold water complresses for about two (2) hours afterwards. Most people are fully recovered in 3-4 days and with makeup you can generally resume normal activities the day of treatment. We recommend Jane Iredale’s mineral powder because it calms and covers the redness.
